Is Seth Rogen's Green Hornet the Next Batman and Robin?

Remember when you heard about Seth Rogen's plan to co-write and star in The Green Hornet and thought, "Man, that's a terrible idea!" Then when the project added Cameron Diaz and Christoph Waltz, you wondered aloud, "What kind of fever dream is this thing going to be?" And, of course, you got the answer when Michel Gondry took over the reigns from chopsocky director Stephen Chow: The Green Hornet was one gloriously hot mess. And now that the film is in the can, it looks like even its backers at Sony might agree.

According to sources, Sony executives are quite upset with the now-finished film, calling it a "disaster." Says IESB: "The tone is too campy, they're not happy with the work from director Michel Gondry and Seth Rogen does not look the part." Well, fine then. Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Not to fear though: Sony is supposedly planning on adding some post-production 3D to The Green Hornet, since nothing pleases comic book fanboys more than haphazardly tossed together visuals.
