· That momentary, Katzenbergian blip of panic about ZOMG fake 3-D is gonna kill us all run for your liiiiiiives has abated this morning with news that none other than Martin Scorsese himself will employ the medium in the making of his upcoming The Invention of Hugo Cabret. It only makes sense, really, for the adaptation of a young-adult novel scheduled for a December 2011 release; Michael Bay will no doubt pay close attention to see how his fellow American master does it before officially embracing the third dimension himself. Rachel Weisz may take on Jackie Kennedy, yet another I Love You Phillip Morris development, and more Hollywood Ink after the jump.

· Rachel Weisz is attached to play the title role in Jackie, a biopic about JFK's widow in the immediate days following the president's assassination. Darren Aronofsky is planning to direct; Academy voters are on notice. [EW]

· As predicted, the beleaguered Jim Carrey/Ewan McGregor prison romance I Love You Phillip Morris has been yanked from distributor Consolidated Pictures Group after three release-date switches and a reported failure to pay producer EuropaCorp its minimum guarantee of $3 million. CPG is contesting the move and pledging arbitration; no word yet on how this affects the new July release date, but it's probably not good. [Deadline]

· Jamie Foxx is the mobilizing force behind Welcome to the Jungle, a Fox animated film that its co-producer and screenwriter declined to describe beyond the imminent tagline, "Life is a jungle, and welcome to it." Er, no thanks? [Variety]
