Shocker: Conan Spurns Fox, Heads to TBS
Who says the entertainment industry can't surprise you? In a move that can only be described as "shocking" (though "damnnnn" would also suffice), Conan O'Brien announced moments ago that he'll head to cable network TBS to host a brand new late night show starting in November. Said Coco: "In three months I've gone from network television to Twitter to performing live in theaters, and now I'm headed to basic cable. My plan is working perfectly."
Details are still coming, but Conan's new show will start at 11 p.m. each night -- bumping a very happy to move George Lopez to midnight -- and air four nights per week. It looks like O'Brien decided to make the jump to TBS after he couldn't get the guarantees he was looking for from Fox. No word yet on what will happen to Max Weinberg or what the show will look like, but right now, who cares. This is fairly amazing and exactly the type of out-of-the-box decision that Conan needed to make. More to come on this today at Movieline.

Comments
Finally, TBS isn't lying when they say, "Very funny."
Does this mean there will only be 4 hours of Family Guy and Friends reruns on a night?
Does TBS really deserve this bounty so soon after thinking that a Frank Caliendo TV show was a good idea?
Finally, good karma for having to air all those shitty Atlanta Braves games throughout the years.
This means any day now WGN will be making a play for Chevy Chase to take a late-night slot.
I hope Turner doesn't intend on colorizing Conan.
