Christopher Nolan Brings More Inception to WonderCon

July's Comic-Con might be the crown jewel of the geek calendar year, but don't sleep on WonderCon. The San Francisco comic convention—which has been a part of Comic-Con International since 2000—concludes today with a screening of the musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (yep, it's that kind of convention), but it has already proven to be worth its weight in limited edition Spider-man lithographs. That's because on Saturday director Christopher Nolan unspooled a brand new sizzle reel for his follow-up to The Dark Knight, the heretofore mysterious Inception.

After screening the clip, Nolan told the audience that Inception "is, in some ways, a heist movie," something he's been hinting at for some time. Though while that might make the star-studded film (Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard, Michael Caine, Cillian Murphy) sound like another Ocean's flick, it's not that simple. HitFix blogger Daniel Fienberg, who was in attendance during the Q&A portion, reports that Inception "seems to involve people who create dreams for other people and then, when they're in those dreams, they tap into their subconscious and steal their ideas, their intellectual property." Okay then!

The new footage hasn't made its way online yet, but here's hoping. In the meantime, you can watch the inscrutable trailer again and try to make heads or tails of it.
