· If you were disappointed that neither Elisabeth Moss nor January Jones took home a Best Actress Emmy at last year's ceremony, you were not alone. The people behind Mad Men figure that the two actresses, both nominated in the lead category last year, nullified each other's chances. Hoping to make up for the loss, the Matthew Weiner production will position Moss as a supporting actress this year, even if she finds competition in her Mad Men co-star Christiana Hendricks, to give Jones a better chance at the Best Actress trophy. A&E gets Twisted, Ice-T develops a Peacemaker, and more TV Bites after the jump.
· Bad news, A&E is recycling the glam rock family formula that it uses for Gene Simmons Family Jewels for a new reality drama called Growing Up Twisted about the family of Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider. [Variety]
· In other A&E news, Ice-T is behind an unscripted drama for the network called The Peacemaker, about a gang interventionist Malik Spellman, who has spent the past 15 years helping the LAPD on violence prevention efforts. [Variety]
· Syfy is co-producing two original movies with production company After Dark for the network's Saturday night time slot. The first, Scream of the Banshee, about a professor who releases a creature with a bone-splitting scream, will star Lauren Holly. The second, 51, centers on a group of reporters allowed access to a top-secret Air Force base housing aliens. [THR]
· Former Alias producers Monica Breen and Alison Schapker have been hired as co-executive producers on Fox's Fringe, where the pair will reunite with J.J. Abrams. [THR]
