Overheard Overnight: Three Musketeers 3-D x 2 & XXX 3: 3-D

· You're not supposed to pull April Fool's pranks after midday, right? So better break out the abacus because it's getting increasingly tough not only tallying all the 3-D projects but keeping track of all their names and numbers. So, Doug Liman's got a 3-D adaptation of The Three Musketeers happening -- which will compete with Paul W.S. Anderson's stereoscopic take on Alexander Dumas' classic tale. Meanwhile, Vin Diesel's reteaming with director Rob Cohen for a third triple X flick to be shot in 3-D. And also this morning: Vin's making the fifth and sixth installments of the Fast & Furious franchise and, according to producer Neil Moritz, Fast Five will most likely be converted into 3-D. No official word on whether Speedy Six or Moritz's Highlander reboot will go the way of the glasses but it's a safe bet, given it's now easier to list the projects not being fated for 3-D.

· And if you're not exhausted by all of that, after the jump Captain America's sidekick is cast, MacGruber gets a restricted trailer and British reality TV star biopic axed.

· Sebastian Stan, the head evil douche from Hot Tub Time Machine, will play sidekick Bucky to Chris Evans' Captain America. Where will they take the character? The original Bucky died and stayed that way a long time... until he was brought back as The Winter Soldier. Then he got to become Captain America. Stan could be in for a long haul.

· MacGruber gets a restricted trailer that's not nearly half as funny as the trailer for The Expendables.

· The Simon Cowell-produced, Matthew Vaughn-directed biopic of Britain's Got Talent winner Paul Potts has been canceled because -- say whaaaa? -- "they failed to find an actor willing to play Potts in the movie.".
