As if it wasn't enough that Anna Paquin has every creature in Bon Temps throwing himself at her, she's decided to expand her horizons even further. In a new PSA for the Give a Damn campaign, an LGBT rights project started by Cyndi Lauper's True Colors Fund, the True Blood actress comes out as bisexual. Inspired today in the writers room, Alan Ball is asking, "What do we think about a Sookie/Tara fling?" Luckily, a story editor is there to sensibly reply, "Only if we can make Tara a rabid were-fairy first." Video, after the jump:

I honestly don't get why Jason Mraz is wearing a shirt in this. Does he want gays to be happy or doesn't he??

  • Fitz says:

April Fool? Hope not. This is tremendous!!!!! Go Anna. This is exactly how to come out. Take that Ricky Matin.

its sad we still need these types of ads.

  • Sebastian says:

I guess she's always been soaring with the chicks since her appearance in Fly Away Home.

  • USERNAMEGENARIC says:

It's a shame that some of these pro-gay folks are so hateful of people of faith. I hope I don't get beat up because I am a God Blessed "Religiotard".

  • austinartist says:

There is no mention of faith in this video. Comments about "religiotards" are unproductive. Pro-gay supporters are not necessarilly anti-organized religion and bringing it into this conversation is not helpful for the cause.

  • C says:

This is exactly the kind of ad that needs to be put out there... and it's unfortunate that in this day and age that it has to be done. Everyone should have the same rights as each other as long as they are law abiding citizens. Who gives a rats ass if Jim loves John or Mary likes a Suzy every once in a while? It's nobodies business but their own unless they're hurting someone.
As far as the 'religious' comments posted so far... get over yourselves. There are plenty of people who consider themselves religious and support equal rights. It's the people on both sides that are extreme about it that need to get this message the most.

  • Martini Shark says:

I just hope Elton John doesn't suffer professionally after this!

  • snickers says:

    Butterface.

  • sweetbiscuit says:

"Mary likes a Suzy" is my new favorite band name.

  • ken says:

woah.. are you sure? well i must date Anna Paquin first before she get married to Stephen Moyer.. but still, i dont believe to this video..

  • Renko says:

this person does, however, hold a valid point. When it comes to pro gay issues, religion is commonly left out. As for my personal opinion; I agree with no homosexuals in the military. Being an army soldier myself, I would easily find it uncomfortable, and borderline offensive to share the showers with a gay person.

  • A Glorious Suffering says:

Those who are religious and support gay rights are nothing more than hypocrites. Claiming to be "God-fearing" and then saying its okay if Jim bones John is quite absurd. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Hypocrites I tell ya, Hypocrites!!!
