· Garry Marshall told TV Guide that he's working on an urbanized big screen version of Laverne & Shirley, currently being written by Jamie Foxx because we have no f'ing idea why. Team T "Lenny" Pain and The "Squiggy" Situation! [TV Guide via AICN]

· Zach Braff took to his Facebook page earlier today to make the sad announcement: "Many of you have asked, so here it is. It appears that New Scrubs, Scrubs 2.0, Scrubs with new kids, Scrubbier, Scrubs without JD is no more. It was worth a try, but alas... it didn't work." Of the two versions of the series I never watched, I'll definitely miss this one the most. [E!]

· In the future, all Chatroulette improv pianists will talk about their own fame for 15 minutes. Ugh, shoulda quit while you were a Ben Folds impression. [BWE.tv]

· The Daily Bullock: Sandy's a no-show in Berlin, and some wiseguy listed her as "separated" on IMDb, which TMZ apparently thinks is news. [TMZ]

· Outspoken anti-Lenoist Megan Mullally has exited the Broadway revival of Lips Together, Teeth Apart, reportedly because she had "had enough of the abrasive manner of director Joe Mantello." [Deadline]

    1. Wait a minute, a show about two women living in a big city wasn't "urban?" What's up with that?
    2. That counts as ABC's official press release.
    3. Still better than getting Ashton Kutcher on Chatroulette. Yes, Demi is still hot, we know, you don't have to keep telling us.
    4. I now know the truth. The whole thing was set up as an excuse for her to get out of going to Berlin.
    5. And the irony is that she's being replaced in the role by...JAY LENO!

    Hey!
That should be "an urbanized big screen version of Laverne & Shirley, currently being written by ACADEMY AWARD WINNER Jamie Foxx"!
Show Booty Call some respect, dammit.

    was Joe Eszterhas not available?

  • Andy says:

The trouble with doing a Laverne & Shirley Movie is that the series may have been popular in the states, but it wasn’t really anywhere else. So I can see it struggling to appeal to audiences outside of the states if it does get made.

Bullock ALSO updated her verified Facebook page to set her status as "Single." So, that wiseguy? Might be wiser than you think.

Also, I'm from outside the US and I am inexpressably excited at the return of Laverne and Shirley. The "Hubba-Hubba Heinie" episode will be particularly relevant in the 21st Century.
