You may have thought you'd heard everything from the Annals of Moviegoing Violence after that 2008 incident involving a chatty moviegoer and the man who shot him. Then along comes this: A man was stabbed in the neck with a meat thermometer at a recent screening of Shutter Island in Lancaster, Calif.
According to reports, the unidentified victim had complained to a nearby viewer who was on her cell phone during the Martin Scorsese/Leonardo DiCaprio hit. She left with two men, and moments later, the men (or two others; reports are vague) returned to stick him with the kitchen implement like a roast. The victim was hospitalized in serious condition; the suspects are still at large.
It gets crazier: The incident happened two weeks ago, yet was only reported Tuesday. So heads up, Lancaster! That woman on the phone next to you this weekend at Alice in Wonderland? Maybe just let her talk.
