· To whomever is out there making the phone calls and sending the e-mails that have created a bottleneck of new Angelina Jolie projects: Enough. We get it. The actress is available and in demand, as evidenced by her reported interest in starring in an adaptation of Serena: A Novel for director Darren Aronofsky. The story is set in early-20th century North Carolina, where Jolie's title character joins her husband in starting a timber empire before going incrementally, megalomaniacally insane. Tack this on to reports of Jolie doing Gravity with Alfonso Cuarón after the currently shooting The Tourist, then developing the long-gestating Kay Scarpetta franchise and heaven knows what else is coming... I just hope her agent didn't have to work all weekend. [THR]

· Fox thinks it might have the next big tween franchise in Incarceron, about a city-sized prison, a young inmate and his relationship with the warden's daughter. Then they find a "key that can change everything." Except it all takes place in the 17th century, but it's modern-day, with computers? That exasperated look on my parents' faces when I explained my own youthful phenomena to them makes all the sense in the world right now. [Variety
· AMC is the latest multiplex chain to fall in line with Disney's shrunken theatrical window for Alice in Wonderland. Surprise. [THR]
· That Hugh Laurie/Leighton Meester ensemble dramedy The Oranges is close to finalizing the actual ensemble, with Catherine Keener, Allison Janney, Adam Brody and Alia Shawkat closing in a a few permutations of parent/child/sibling relationships too complicated to sort out here. Let it suffice to say the principals' affair doesn't sit well with any of them. [THR]
· Amber Heard has joined the cast of Drive Angry, in which she'll play a diner waitress who joins Nicolas Cage on a quest to retrieve his grandchild from kidnappers who killed his daughter. That's worth at least a 25-percent tip. [THR]
