TV Bites: Fox Contemplates Jack Bauer's Future

· Fox executives are in the preliminary stages of planning Jack Bauer's feature film crossover, but before they push forward, they are waiting to see how 24 performs the next few weeks. Based on those ratings, the network will either extend the series into a ninth season or hit the gas on the 24 movie with the help of Flightplan scribe Billy Ray. The rumored setting of Jack Bauer's film foray: Europe. There's no word yet on how filmgoers will respond to a 24-hour movie; test results are expected sometime soon. [EW]

Paul Reiser returns to NBC, another Friday Night Lights alum finds work, and more TV Bites after the jump.

· Paul Reiser is returning to NBC, the network where he spent seven successful Mad About You seasons in the 90s. According to Nikki Finke, the Peacock picked up a Warner Bros pilot written by and set to star Reiser. Somewhere, John Pankow is praying that Reiser's single-cam project has room for cousin Ira. · Friday Night Lights alum Minka Kelly has scored a role in the CBS comedy True Love. The project, produced by Matt Tarses (Scrubs), centers on four friends looking for love in New York. Yawn. Kelly will play Kate, a sweet, strong-willed Midwestern. [EW]

· Christopher Lloyd will guest-star in the 16th episode of Chuck this season. The Back to the Future scientist will play a therapist who Chuck turns to when the pressure of the spy business becomes too much for him. [EW]

· Collect your money if you bet that Keri Russell would be one of the most sought-after actresses this pilot season. [EW]
