Late Night Highlights: Vagazzle, Wrestle and Plug Polanski With the After-Hours All-Stars

Attention late night viewers! Tonight, NBC will air the last episode of the Jay Leno Show. You may not have known since NBC has spent no money saying "Goodbye Primetime Jay!" (or finding goodbye-quality guests -- tomorrow, Jay will chat with Ashton Kutcher) since he'll be returning to the network in a month. But we here at Movieline recognize that our 10 PM nightmare is nearly over and the celebrations will be aplenty. Beginning with another one of Jay's patented "Earn Your Plug" segments -- remarkable and unremarkable at the same time for its gratuitous use of Carrot Top. That gem, as well as the other after hours highlights you missed while dreaming about your future American Idol reign, after the jump.

5. Equality for Vagazzling Vajayjayers

If there was one thing on the minds of Lopez Tonight viewers when Jennifer Love Hewitt revealed that she treats her "precious lady" to swarovski crystals, it most certainly was not, "How can I get that too?" Regardless, George Lopez treated his audience to a special pre-Valentine's Day gift with this mock-up ad. But George, would actually vagazzling an audience member's vajayjay on camera be that much worse than your Chola Makeovers or exchanging $50 for an audience member's bra? I don't think so.

Roman Polanski films deserve to be promoted too, even if merely saying the director's name results in curious silence by the talk show host and studio audience. Pierce Brosnan endured that specific plight last night on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson while promoting his upcoming thriller The Ghost Writer.

3. Last Night's Display of Mediocrity

Jay Leno could have soared to legendary heights in his penultimate episode of the Jay Leno Show last night had he taken a few lessons from Conan and possibly reviewed his short primetime reel or set fire to his Green Car Challenge track, sparing it the same kind of heartbreaking destruction that Conan's set faced. Instead, Leno delivered a semi-emotional tribute to his "old friend" David Letterman, another steaming helping of Headlines and this segment with Emma Roberts that climaxed with Carrot Top's cameo. (Skip ahead to 2:50)

2. How Sandra Blind Side-d Meryl

While Leno provided the meta-material for last night's evening programming (discussing car crashes with Emma Roberts while living out NBC's slow-mo version), David Letterman talked to an Academy Award nominee about her brush with Meryl Streep.

1. Late Night Wrestling

After discussing their awkward interactions with Clive Davis and Colbert's Sports Illustrated cover, Jimmy Fallon and and Stephen Colbert took the long elevator down Rockefeller Center. Symbolic interpretations welcome in the comments section.
