Late Night Highlights: Wanda Sykes Defends Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Pigs Around

Where was Wanda Sykes two weeks ago? Last night the comedienne joined Jay Leno on his temporary 10 PM perch, chastised NBC for offering an offensive lunch menu and then absolved Leno of his late night evils. A visibly touched Leno patted Sykes on the elbow and then reciprocated by canceling her humiliating "Earn That Plug" segment. (Or maybe publicly defending Leno was her "Earn That Plug" challenge. Discuss in the comments below.) That heartwarming moment, as well as the other highlights you missed last night while remembering your days as James Cameron's sexy cowgirl, after the jump.

5. Amanda Seyfried Charms, Jamie Foxx Plays With the Band

After Jamie Foxx hammed it up for the Late Show audience during commercial breaks last night (second video), Amanda Seyfried charmed middle America by playing the part of the charming ingenue.

4. Aubrey Plaza Does Joy Behar

Not just any talk show host could convince Tatum Channing to throw three pointers with a bottle of champagne and a roast beef sandwich, but that is the magic of Jimmy Fallon. After some poor stagehand had to mop up the mess that Channing and Fallon made, Parks and Recreation's Aubrey Plaza stopped by Late Night and showed off her Joy Behar-as-a-murderer impression.

3. Jimmy Kimmel as a Talking PIg

2. Christian Slater Subjects Himself to Lopez Tonight

Last night, Christian Slater tried to sell Lopez Tonight's largely-Hispanic audience on The Forgotten by discussing his early role on Ryan's Hope and the love advice that Sean Connery once gave him.

1. At Least Jay's Got Wanda

Jay "Honorary Black Man" Leno found a supporter in old friend Wanda Sykes last night who not only dissed NBC but volunteered, "I'll be happy to have you back at 11:30." Once she had firmly established herself as Team Jay, she asserted another odd angle by saying that her favorite Grammy's performer was Pink.
