The One-Page Screenplay: Craig Titley's Pull My Finger

It's time once more to add to the growing ranks of Movieline's One-Page Screenplay project, in which some of Hollywood's hottest writers try their hand at composing something bite-size. The newest contributor is Craig Titley, who's developed a reputation for kickstarting family-friendly franchises (Cheaper By the Dozen, Scooby-Doo) and has his biggest-budgeted attempt to date hitting theaters next week: the Christopher Columbus-directed Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. Titley's one-page screenplay isn't quite as effects-heavy, but it does employ a crucial bit of on-the-page CG. Enjoy Pull My Finger!

The Official Bio:

Craig Titley is a screenwriter and producer who began his film career as a production assistant on feature films and TV movies. After a brief stint as an executive for Nickelodeon's feature film division, he went on to become a writer of family films including the live-action Scooby-Doo movie and Cheaper By the Dozen starring Steve Martin. Both films grossed over 100 million dollars domestically and spawned successful sequels.

Titley's current projects include a big budget adaptation of Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea for New Line Cinema with Sam Raimi (Spider-Man) producing and Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, based on the first from a series of popular Percy Jackson novels about a boy who discovers that the Greek gods and monsters are alive and well and walking among us. Chris Columbus (director of the first two Harry Potter films) directed the film for 20th Century Fox, and opens February 12.

Titley's love of mythology and movies recently collided when he was chosen as one of the writers for George Lucas's new animated Star Wars (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) television series.
