When Movieline Met Cyrus: Scenes From a Sundance Party

Over the weekend, Don Julio Tequila and Moveline co-hosted a dandy little Sundance party celebrating the Duplass Brothers' latest film Cyrus. In addition to rubbing elbows with the filmmakers and their Cyrus stars John C. Reilly, Marisa Tomei and Jonah Hill, your intrepid Movieline editors rubbed elbows with the likes of our resident DJ ?uestlove, Hill comrade Danny McBride, directors David Gordon Green and Jody Hill and myriad other festival luminaries. And now that the film is finally back from the lab (memo to selves: Never again entrust the Park Avenue 7-Eleven with our one-hour photo needs), we thought it's high time to share a few snapshots from the evening. Click through for a glimpse.

As they do with all their fraught decision-making, the Duplass Brothers flipped a coin to settle which of them would be photographed first with John C. Reilly and Marisa Tomei. Mark Duplass apparently won.

As a result, brother Jay Duplass sought consolation in the arms of co-star Jonah Hill.

Like, a lot of consolation.

After a quintuple take, we confirmed our eyes were not deceiving us: ?uestlove was in fact DJ-ing our party....

...with the aid of his pal Yameen Allworld.

Mark Duplass attended with his wife Katie Aselton, whose own film, The Freebie is currently burning up the festival's Next section.

It was until after we let him in that we learned Danny McBride has a bone to pick with Jonah Hill. Needless to say, Movieline separated the two.

Who needs a Sundance Grand Jury Prize when you can take home a highly coveted bottle of premium Don Julio Tequila? As Marisa Tomei might tell you: Nobody, that's who.

We and our new friends got to know this young lady's handiwork quite well.

Cyrus, meanwhile, will open later this year courtesy of Fox Searchlight, whose president Nancy Utley joined the Duplass boys for some post-premiere bonding.

Only at Sundance, kids, only at Sundance.
