TV Bites: Summit Pushes Into Television

· Summit Entertainment, the company behind the Twilight series and The Hurt Locker is developing a television series based on their recent sci-fi thriller Push. Watchmen scribe David Hayter will pen the pilot and E1 Entertainment will co-produce. No decisions on broadcasters or actors (Chris Evans and Dakota Fanning starred in the original) have been made yet. [Reuters]

Project Runway welcomes a Gigolo guest judge, Gossip Girl identifies Serena's father, and more TV Bites after the jump.

· Project Runway has chosen guest judge Lauren Hutton to follow last week's disappointing sit-in Nicole Richie. [People]

· Michael Ausiello is reporting that Gossip Girl has booked Billy Baldwin to play Serena and Eric's estranged father, William van der Woodsen; he is slated to appear in his first episode in April. [EW]

· Comedy Central has picked up a multicamera comedy The Strip from Reno 911 co-creators/stars Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant. The show will focus on a "former child star (Lennon) who now owns a Hooters-type restaurant in a strip mall on the outskirts of Vegas." THR]

· In addition to Jennie Garth not returning for another season of 90210, Rob Estes, who plays Harry Wilson, the school principal, will also not be coming back. [Radar]
