Pushing Daisies Creator Bryan Fuller: My Fave Five of 2009

Time now for another Fave Five list, this time from one of TV's most original and prolific voices: Bryan Fuller. After the jump, the former Star Trek writer and creator of such critically acclaimed (and sometimes tragically short-lived) series as Dead Like Me, Wonderfalls, and Pushing Daisies shares the five pop culture moments that sent him into warp drive in 2009.

Favorite Performance: Grace Jones at the Hollywood Bowl

"One of the best Bond villains in one of the worst Bond films, Grace pulled up to our bumper, flashed her own still very much high-riding bumper, and had a new bumper sticker each and every song. I was giddy the entire ride."

Favorite Movie: Star Trek

"If you have a date with a summer movie, this is the summer movie you want to show up. Strutting onto the transporter pad with a click in their re-boots, Kirk and Spock have never been sexier. Finally, some slash fiction I would read."

Favorite Album: Hypnogaja, Truth Decay

"Great, old-fashioned, modern rock. It has not left the CD player in my car since June."

Favorite TV: Pushing Daisies

"PUSHING DAISIES airs its final three episodes and wins a bushel of posthumous Emmys. (Kristen Chenoweth's win being particularly sweet, as she was the song in Daisies' soul.) Both seasons are available on DVD/Blu-Ray and make fantastic stocking-stuffers. And Hanukkah gifts."

Favorite Music Video: Lady Gaga, "Bad Romance"

"Sparking titties and a charred corpse coup de gras. Thank you, Miss Germanotta."
