· Yes, this is really happening. For the first time since 2002, Saturday Night Live is hosting a holiday special and letting Kristen Wiig's mischievous character Gilly host. · 50 Cent wants to make beautiful music with Susan Boyle. Said the rapper, "I got to get her on a track, for real. We'd make a hit. Everyone is talking about her, the lady from Britain's Got Talent... I'd love to take her clubbing, show her around my world. She'd have a great time." [The Mirror]

· 30 Rock's Jack Donaghy is not quite ready for that teased relationship with Liz Lemon because first, he has to date a character played by Elizabeth Banks. Following her turn as a boozy best friend on Modern Family, Banks will guest in at least four episodes. No word yet on how her character will top the fast food fixations of Jack's previous love interests (McFlurry! Arby's Big Beef 'N Cheddar! Maybe a Big Bacon Classic?). Jack will also romance his high school crush this season, played by Julianne Moore. [EW]

· After last week's guid-tastic premiere of Jersey Shore, American Family Insurance and Domino's pulled their advertisements from repeats of the show. Your move, Axe Body Spray. [TMZ]

· There are some new housewives hitting the reality television landscape who are actually married to recognizable sports figures. VH1 has announced a new series Basketball Wives about the wives and girlfriends of Shaquille O'Neal, Eric Williams, Antoine Walker, Jermaine O'Neal and Udonis Haslem. VH1's executive VP of programming, Jeff Olde, alluded to the Tiger Woods scandal when explaining the relevancy of these eight half-hour episodes: "You only have to look as far as the nearest headlines to see what sort of pressure they are up against to keep their relationships and their families together."
