· Nearly a month ago, George Clooney isolated the single remaining twist on TV cop dramas with his TNT pilot Delta Blues. The hourlong series will center on a Memphis police officer who moonlights as an Elvis impersonator, while bunking with his mother. And now, Clooney has found the star for his project in My Name is Earl alum, Jason Lee. Another day, another role pigeonholing Lee as a pastiche of various American stereotypes. [Reuters]

Aaron Sorkin drops hints about his next television project, Hillary Clinton sides with Betty Draper, and more TV Bites after the jump.

· MTV has claimed the television rights to Michael Jackson's This Is It. [Hollywood Reporter]

· Ethan Embry, fondly remembered for his '90s streak playing the sensitive, misunderstood leads in Empire Records, That Thing You Do! and Can't Hardly Wait, has joined USA Network's pilot, Facing Kate. He will play the brother of the title character (played by Sarah Shahi), who gave up his law career to be a stay-at-home father. [Hollywood Reporter]

· Gilmore Girl creator Amy Sherman-Palladino continues to string along GG die-hards by hinting that there might be a film adaptation of the talky mother-daughter series. For that reason, the E.P. (who left the show before its final season) refuses to discuss her original plans for Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory's (Alexis Bledel) Wrangler ride into the Stars Hollow sunset. [EW]

· In an interview with Vogue, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton reveals that she, like most Americans with a cable package and an appreciation for retrocentric programming, enjoys Mad Men: "That's how it was!...That's why the women's-liberation movement was so shocking. It was like news from outer space." [HuffPo]

· West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin plans to follow up his upcoming Facebook movie, The Social Network, with another TV series much like Sorkin's short-lived Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip: "It's going to be what turns out to be the third in the trilogy of TV shows that take place behind the scenes of a TV show, but this will be a different kind of TV show. That's all I can let out of the bag right now." [TV Guide]

Awww, Ethan Embry! I love him. I hope this works out. I only have basic cable, so I never saw him on "Brotherhood."
