All NBC hits cast curses on their actors, dammit. Just ask Eric McCormack, who aside from his season-long TNT dud Trust Me, has had to fill his post-Will & Grace TV work schedule with Monk guest appearances and an A&E miniseries. Finally though, McCormack has landed a gritty role in tonight's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit to really showcase his dramatic range and prove once and for all that he can play more than a happy-go-lucky gay lawyer.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit [9 PM, NBC]

After an online-dating customer's body is found crammed into a suitcase, Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stabler's (Christopher Meloni) investigation leads them to the dating service's CEO, played by a particularly somber Eric McCormack. If this doesn't lead to at least a three episode arc on the now-hiring Law & Order: Criminal Intent, we will be saddened.

Larry King Live [9 PM, CNN]

If you haven't gotten enough awkward Phillips incest talk, catch Larry King's undoubtedly boorish tango with Mackenzie Phillips as he tries to drag any other gag-worthy details out of the autobiography-pusher in between copious interruptions and viewer calls. Dr. Drew Pinsky will round out the bizarre panel.

Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Ruins [10 PM, MTV]

MTV rides their arthritic cash cow into its 18th season tonight, which takes place in Thailand! American BMX Rider T.J. Lavin hosts as the contestants divide into two teams to compete in humiliating, MTV-approved challenges for the chance to win cash and other prizes. This iteration's veterans include Syrus (RW: Boston), Susie (RR: Down Under) and Tonya (RW: Chicago). What about Coral!

While You Were Sleeping [8 PM, ABC Family]

If Sandra Bullock had only stuck with charming romantic comedies like this '95 film rather than trying to blaze a trail through romantic farce-dom with _All About Steve, we might still consider the Speed heroine our cinematic sweetheart. Bullock manages to play smart, funny and the female lead next to Peter Gallagher as the oblivious initial love interest and Bill Pullman as the love interest's more appealing brother.
