Matt LeBlanc Would Really Like a Piece of Lisa Kudrow's Comeback

After finally leaving her Friends character Phoebe Buffay behind a few years ago, Lisa Kudrow headed to premium cable for a new show, The Comeback, that would tweak those long years of sitcom experience. A vicious satire of television and stardom, The Comeback followed the behind-the-scenes shenanigans at a network sitcom starring a past-her-prime actress (Kudrow).

The Comeback was genius--both as satire and character study. Also, The Comeback skewered reality television along with sitcoms.
This Matt LeBlanc thing... let's just say I'll be sad if it succeeds.

Perfect timing Showtime! With everyone distracted by the fall of Roman, this infuriating press release should raise little ire. THIS is how you release bad news.

I tried to get a lot of different people to 'get' the Comeback, but they would basically complain about its subtlety. I was sad to see it go.

I was sad to see it go as well, but since it did go, at least the 1st season works as a stand-alone/self-contained chapter in the character's life.
I think the marketing for it was way off the mark in representing what the show was, and people wanted it to be something (a rehash of Kudrow as Phoebe) that it was not..
