Guy Ritchie Decides Cinema Needs More Blue-Skinned Heroes
If there's anything we've established thanks to Avatar, Watchmen, and Arrested Development's Tobias, it's that blue is the sexiest color you can coat your characters in (with the possible side effect of making them look completely ridiculous). Now, even Guy Ritchie's getting in on the act -- he's set his Sherlock Holmes follow-up, and it'll star someone big and blue. Who?
Why, Lobo, a DC Comics bounty hunter with giant muscles, alien dreadlocks, and a Van Dyke beard. That's him on the right. Says Variety:
In the film, [Lobo] is a seven-foot tall, blue-skinned, indestructible and heavily muscled anti-hero who drives a pimped out motorcycle, and lands on Earth in search of four fugitives who are bent on wreaking havoc. Lobo teams with a small town teenaged girl to stop the creatures.
So, Hellboy with a blue filter, then. Excellent.

Yet another development announcement from DC that will most likely come to nothing.... These constant announcements are making me cynical.
Let the Cerulean Wangfest begin!!!
Uh, since when is Lobo's skin blue??
Maybe MAYBE maybe by a stretch of imagination you could say there's a slightly blue tinge, (as with Superman's hair) but seems to me Lobo has always 'read' as either chalk-white or perhaps an ashy light grey.
comicon is over....time to get out of the basement.
I'm guessing willy wonka dumped all the unusable '3-course meal chewing gum' sticks on whatever planet that guy's from.
Lobo: The role Chaz Bono was born to play.
