Play the Game, aka the New Andy Griffith Blowjob Movie
No sooner did we establish a reasonable, clear-cut cinematic trend of old people loving pot brownies than noted coolhunter Andy Rooney came along to push the summer envelope a little bit further. Had you heard of his new film Play the Game? Perhaps, like me, you hadn't, but now (also like me!) you're going to carry around the rest of this knowledge until the end of your days.
I first stumbled upon Play the Game at Roger Ebert's site after reading his review of the Paramount-neglected Marc Pease Experience (which Ebert says deserved its fate). "Andy Griffith and Seinfeld's mom: I would really rather not know," read the headline for Ebert's Play the Game pan. Should I have taken his advice?
Instead, I clicked, and learned that Play the Game is a retirement home romantic comedy where Andy Griffith must choose between sweet Doris Roberts (from Everybody Loves Raymond) and aggressive Liz Sheridan (Jerry's mom from Seinfeld). Complicating matters is Sheridan's tendency to ply Griffith with Viagra, then perform oral sex on him. "I've admired Griffith ever since No Time for Sergeants," says Ebert, "but the one thing I must admit I've never wanted to do was regard his face while he's enjoying oral sex from Seinfeld's mom."
And yet, thanks to a generous photo editor, now we all can.

Griffith, Rooney, Griffith, Rooney...an all Andy Dick fest.
I love it when Roger Ebert hates a movie. It makes me smile.
I find senior sexual shenanigans to be endearing. Would Roger Ebert prefer to regard a younger, more attractive face? This sounds like another product of repressed Americana, force fed FCC delusion!
