He's Gonna Smoke [Clap] YOU Out!

It may not be a massive Emmy snub, but we thought Kevin Nealon might get a little love in the Supporting Actor category this year. Although his portrayal of Doug won't win any shiny things next month, the warmth of his pot-loving, child-corrupting, telling-it-like-it-is-ing character continutes to make the B-plot of every Weeds episode the highlight of each week. Get it, highlight?

Weeds [10 PM, Showtime]

Nancy (Mary-Louise Parker) and Andy (Justin Kirk) mend their relationship and find common ground over their new parental struggles. Meanwhile, Celia (Elizabeth Perkins) and Dean (Andy Milder) integrate pot into Celia's door-to-door makeup sales. Now that literally everyone except Nancy is somehow involved in the drug business or doing drugs a lot, there is a chance for her to take a breather and reduce her tolerance. She'll be back soon.

Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List [10 PM, Bravo]

Madame Tussauds museum notifies Kathy that they want to make her into a wax statue, an honor only slightly greater than a Hollywood Walk of Fame star. Meanwhile talks to luminaries Jackie Collins, Salman Rushdie and Gayle King about her memoir and travels to NYC for her book-cover shoot. If Kathy had kids, this would essentially be the same show as Tori & Dean Do Whatever They Do.

Sex in the Ancient World [9 PM, History]

Unfortunately, this is not the next installment of Real Sex featuring the frisky residents of the Gentle Acres nursing home but rather an investigation into the sexual practices in Roman and Egyptian cultures. The first episode in the series examines sexual slavery and the Pompeii site of the world's oldest known brothel.

Operator 13 [2 AM, TCM]

These days, Marion Davies is probably most famous for the Susan Alexander character allegedly based on her and played by Dorothy Comingore in Citizen Kane. But Davies had a substantial film career and TCM gives her some airtime tonight. If you don't want to watch this 85 year-old Civil War love story at 2 AM, check out Going Hollywood with Bing Crosby at 12:30 AM. If that's also too late, there's this thing called DVR that is useful for more than just recording reruns of Top Chef.

Doug is the only worthwhile thing to watch in Weeds anymore. Seriously...why hasn't anyone killed Nancy yet? I was forced into fellatio by my local drug cartel for merely mentioning that the other Kingpin in town provided a delivery service.

Sex in the Ancient World. Joan Rivers narrates, and reflects.
