In an attempt to juice up the exiled-to-Friday fourth season of Ugly Betty, ABC has instituted changes that could throw a wrench into the works of every entertainment news reporter who loves to crow, "America Ferrera was anything BUT ugly on the red carpet last night!" That's right, folks: Betty's getting pretty! Exactly what should we expect from this television makeover?
EW's Michael Ausiello learned of a focus group designed to solicit feedback to Betty's new look, which includes shaped eyebrows, makeup, and Chanel. This is important, because as Marc Jacobs's terrible new Simpsons tattoos have shown us, people in fashion look classy and put-together at all times.
Of course, this makeover is just small potatoes compared to Betty's eventual big step: the removal of her braces. Fortunately, at that point, she'll be able to kiss all the lesbians she wants.
