Avatar Star Sam Worthington Beams In His Regards

We've been handed down a mandate to share every crumb we stumble upon in regards to a certain upcoming CGI feature about a race of blue people who live in an enchanted forest filled with giant inhabitable flora and predatory feline creatures, and who share only one female among them.

No -- not The Smurfs Movie, silly! Avatar!

We've liveblogged Tom Rothman and James Cameron's opening panel remarks, and provided an in-depth analysis of the 25 minutes of footage previewed at Comic-Con -- but Avatar superfans still can't seem to get enough! (Do they have a name yet? How about "Avatards?")

Fair enough. We here at Movieline aim to please. So why don't you now enjoy this beamed-in greeting from star Sam Worthington, who couldn't make it to the Avatar panel due to his previous commitments to looking very dirty in front a catering truck somewhere. He called Pandora a "mystical and amazing planet like you've never seen," and that the film "is a really amazing movie," adding, "Now if you'll excuse me, I got a Kraken to kill."
