Meet the Breakout Star of Michael Jackson's Memorial!

Breakouts cannot be chosen; rather, they choose us. Who could have known as we approached this summer that the real stars would not be stalwarts like Will Ferrell but instead Skids the Racist Transformer, Zach Galifianakis, and now, This Very Intense-Looking Singer from the Michael Jackson Memorial? Fortunately, the mysterious man (who began the "We Are the World" verse during the service) has been identified!

According to the sleuths at Oh No They Didn't, his name is the double-letter-heavy "Darryl Phinnessee," and, um, he was nominated for an Emmy for writing the lyrics to "Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs," the theme song for Frasier. Amazing!

Also, Phinnessee is listed at the IMDb as having contributed background vocals to Jackson's music for Dangerous: The Short Films. But really, "Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs" is the achievement here. Kkuddos, Darryl Phinnessee.

If you would like to know more about him, here is his Myspace! He is shirtless and lives in Burbank.
