Movieline: Your Front-Row Seat at This Weekend's Young Hollywood Awards

yhas.jpg

This Sunday, our sister site Hollywood Life is throwing its eleventh annual Young Hollywood Awards, and Movieline will be on the scene interviewing all sorts of celebrities, probably before they start drinking. It'll be a star-studded affair (Emile Hirsch! Evan Rachel Wood! Adam Lambert!) and we'd love to hear your polite-yet-irreverent suggestions as to what we should ask.

Here's a look at the lineup of honorees:

Even Rachel Wood, Young Hollywood Superstar, presented by Patricia Clarkson

Ed Westwick, Young Hollywood Breakthrough, presented by Madeline Zima

Ari Graynor, Young Hollywood Comedienne, presented by Peter Sollett

Rumer Willis, Young Hollywood Breakthrough, presented by Katharine McPhee

Shawn Johnson, Young Hollywood Athlete, presented by Steve-0

Q'Orianka Kilcher, Young Hollywood Green Award, presented by Philippe Cousteau

AnnaLynne McCord, Young Hollywood Superstar of Tomorrow, presented by Joely Richardson

Columbus Short & Jamie Chung, Young Hollywood Action Stars, presented by Michael Clarke Duncan

Bar Refaeli, Young Hollywood Crossover, presented by Kellan Lutz

Catherine Hardwicke, Young Hollywood Director, presented by Emile Hirsch

Adam Lambert, Young Hollywood Artist of the Year

So yeah, we're probably going to gush over Ari Graynor and ask Patricia Clarkson to make us some chicken soup (don't know why, but admit it: she'd play the hell out of a "making chicken soup" scene). And, hopefully, we'll bring you back lots of scoop and candid clips. Stay tuned!

  • Abbie says:

PLEASE put up videos from this show. I love Emile Hirsch!
I want to see if he was there, as well.

  • Inhaler says:

Will Rumer's chin be accepting the award on her behalf?

  • SunnydaZe says:

    "Polite-yet-irreverent suggestions"??
    That leaves me out.

  • Jaye says:

Never heard of these young Hollywood stars. Don't know if they are all
on soaps or what. Don't think they all need a drink before they are
interviewed. Sure, they are nervous but a crutch is not needed!

  • Desk_hack says:

Hey Kyle - I'll be there, too. I'll look for you!

  • Bobbi says:

Ask them who they are and why we should care.

  • KAT says:

I love Adam Lambert, and I am thrilled that he is going to receive this honor.

  • LilyX13 says:

Kyle, you didn't say who would be presenting to Adam Lambert..? Congrats to Adam - he's a huge talent, hopefully AI will let him have a lot of creative control on the making of his record.

  • Ink says:

Someone should ask Adam Lambert what his vocal range is.

  • shell says:

I am so happy for Adam! I read that Kara is presenting to him. I wish this was televised, but I'm glad MovieLine will be covering it.

  • Stephanie says:

So excited that Adam Lambert is receiving the Artist of the Year award!!!!! He so deserves this! He is the best contestant ever to step foot on the American Idol stage in 8 Seasons and he's going to be a huge International Star!
Please, please, please post videos and pictures of him at the ceremony!!!! Would love to hear Kara introducing him and his acceptance speech!!!
As for a question maybe you could ask him how he feels about receiving this award less than 3 weeks after the end of American Idol?

  • Paula says:

Can you PLEASE ask Adam Lambert, one of these two questions?
    1. Did you ever, in your wildest dreams, think that you would have made it as far as you did?
    2. I know that you google yourself. While you were on the show, did you ever get a sense of just how popular you were with the fans, just by googling yourself?

  • Deborah says:

What a deserving winner in Adam. We think he is amazing and is going to be huge. Please ask him how he is handling the immense amounts of media and fan attention (bordering on fanatical at times) with such grace and poise. He is a true gentleman and class act. He is our World Idol and we couldn't be happier. Congratulations Adam.

  • Kelly says:

I'm sure Adam Lambert will be decked out at this event. He's a Fashion God as well as a Rock God.
Ask him about his outfit and what designer he's wearing?

  • Patti says:

I would like you to ask Adam how is he handling the quick change from a somewhat normal life to being tracked by the stalkarazzi's. Does it ever make him feel violated or does he just figure it comes with the territory no matter how intrusive.

  • Lucile says:

This is so cool. It'll be Adam Lambert's first big music-related award. The first of many I'm betting! My question for him is: How does it feel to win your first award in the entertainment industry?

  • RC says:

I'm so excited for this! Adam Lambert's getting an award! I'm so happy for him. He's an amazing talent and such an inspiration. He's sweet and humble too. I really look up to him.
Can you ask him if he plans to get any twittering or video blogging done while he's on the tour? 😀

  • Serene says:

Firstly, I want to Thank Hollywood Life for presenting Adam with the award and Movieline for covering the event! Adam totally deserves it! He's such an AMAZING person, from his creativity, passion, pitch-perfect voice to his humbleness in interviews!
Secondly, Please let him know that he has such a strong fan base in Asia! Especially in Singapore! We love him!
Thirdly, Please ask Adam to consider coming to Singapore for a concert or for promoting his album when its released! Can't wait!
Hm, for polite yet irreverent questions. Thats difficult, how about: Whats Adam's shoe size? What type of movie or role would he like to act in given a chance? Which countries would Adam hope to hold a concert besides America?
Lastly, please let Adam know that he's the WORLD Idol! He has fans from all over the world!
Hope to see the interview clips soon! =)
    Cheers!
    Serene from Singapore

  • Cardinal says:

Adam Lambert- Have you hired a bodyguard yet?

  • Shelley says:

Wow! I can't believe that Adam is getting such a big award. He seems like such an influence to all.
    My questions:
A lot of people have seen clips of you singing at the Rabin memorial concert prior to Idol. How did you learn to sing in Hebrew so flawlessly?
Have you ever written any of your own songs before? And if so, what kind of lyrical style can we expect on your first album?

  • Christina says:

Ask Adam how he's handling the paparazzi! He's been mobbed by them almost every day and I'd like to know how he's holding up. Also ask him if it's true that he might be doing some music interviews for Extra and when he plans on having his CD out. Thanks!

  • Krista says:

    Questions for Adam:
    1. Are you thinking of including any of your pre-Idol songs on your first album?
    2. Can you please sing Glamorize on tour? I mean...anything to break the Idol monotony, and that song is HOT.

  • Persa says:

    Dear Adam
    1) Have you considered moving out of Hollywood just to get way from the photogs and have a bit more privacy after the tour is over?
    2) I really loved your duet with Matt in one of the group numbers, I thought your voices blended so wonderfully I also loved hearing you and Kris sing together. Have any of you considered recording together (beyond the tour).
    3) I would love to see you work with someone like Pharrell or Timbaland even just on a one-off. Have you considered working with folks outside of the pop/rock genre?

  • londonlambertlover says:

Adam, are you going to get a permanent bodyguard?

  • AdamsBiggestFan says:

I would like to know is Drake coming back from Lousiana to attend the award ceremony with Adam - That would be sweet!
