It's been almost six months since the Twilight craze hit its apex, but Ghost Whisperer is just getting around to throwing some bloodsuckers into the mix. The dreaminess level of these vampires will be a little low, but their dialogue should be just as average.
Ghost Whisperer [8 PM, CBS]
In case you have never seen GW and aren't planning on watching it tonight, there's no reason to fear as it will be syndicated on Syfy, WE and ION this fall. In-demand guest-star Gail O'Grady (she was on SVU last week) plays the mother of a girl who is having some trouble with vampire ghosts. Not sure if vampire ghosts are worse than regular ghosts, but hopefully their union has a better dental plan.
Living Out Loud [9 PM, Hallmark]
Keep your Gail O'Grady night rolling as she stars as a chorus teacher who returns to her passion of writing music after being diagnosed with breast cancer. The summer is about to start, and when we're not watching network game shows, we're going to try to spend more time with Hallmark, TV Land and some of the other channels that we didn't even know were in our package.
Real Time With Bill Maher [10 PM, HBO]
One of the more organized talk shows on the air, Maher can be counted on for a handful of decent laughs over the solid hour of irreverent opinions. Tonight, he talks to James Carville and Seth MacFarlane in the interview segments. The panelists are author Reza Aslan and journalists Naomi Klein and Matt Taibbi. Anti-globalization Movieline readers have had Klein's appearance circled for weeks.
20/20 [10 PM, ABC]
John Stossel, the newsman we love to hate, explores touchy subjects this week in a report entitled "You Can't Even Talk About It." Subjects include steroid-use among athletes, the trafficking of endangered species body parts, pregnancy discrimination laws and government programs benefiting seniors. Props go out to the editor who had to work an extra shift to splice a few shots of Manny Ramirez into the steroids piece.
