Stalker Nabbed After Pitching Tyler Perry's So Pretty When He's Asleep

After conceiving a string of box-office successes, opening his own studio, and organizing a bloody WGA purge on his hit TV show, Tyler Perry might have thought he had it all. But now, with death threats and an accused stalker in custody, he may have finally reached the superstar promised land.

The writer-producer-director-crossdresser behind the Madea franchise and such undervalued classics (what? I mean it) as Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns and Tyler Perry's The Family That Preys had filed for a restraining order against Dawne Wilson, whom Perry said showed up last week outside his Atlanta recording studio. Police hauled her off for booking, and her mug shot arrived today on TMZ.

At a glance, she seems nice enough -- not the kind of person who would send e-mails "in a menacing manner" over a year ago, including one allegedly announcing, "You need to check your heart condition because it is filled with murder....your love has been but costly and deadly....Murder I say is the verdict. ... Why do you insist on assisting the devil?" Oh, come on -- is Lionsgate really that bad?
