Sofia Coppola to Complete Her 'Pampered Ennui Trilogy'

In today's Hollywood Ink ... From Versailles to Marmont ... Reese gets mean ... Bruno gets an R ...

· Focus will produce Sofia Coppola's Somewhere, set in the Chateau Marmont and starring Stephen Dorff as an aging bad boy actor who comes face-to-face with his 11-year-old daughter (Elle Fanning) at L.A.'s legendary celebrity hideaway and after-hours cokerie. [Variety]

· Jen Sacks' 1998 novel Nice, a sort of Arsenic and Old Lace for the chick-lit set about a magazine writer who kills off her boyfriends, is being developed for Reese Witherspoon, whose sociopathic side we've been missing since the golden days of Election and Freeway. [Variety]

· Oscilloscope Laboratories won North American rights to Lance Daly's film Kisses, about two kids who run away from home on Christmas day to spend "a night of magic and terror" on the streets of Dublin. Disclaimer: No vacuum cleaners were repaired in the making of this doomed Irish romance. [Variety]

· Ricky Gervais has chosen Felicity Jones to play the lead in The Men at the Pru, a comedy set in the world of 1970s insurance sales. [Variety]

· Pooh's Heffalump Movie writer Evan Spiliotopoulos has been tapped to write the sequel to Universal's Wanted -- un unlikely choice until you consider the amazing things he did with Tigger's curved bouncing trajectory in that last project. [THR]

· Bruno makes the necessary cuts to get an R rating from the MPAA. Said a spokesman, "Once we saw the latest edit and were confident Mr. Baron Cohen had removed the sequence in which Ron Paul is talked into trying on a set of scrotal weights, it was good to go." [THR]

· Matthew McConaughey's J.K. Livin imprimateur (slogan: "The j's for just the k's for keep.") will produce Exchange Student -- described as "a family comedy with wry overtones a la Wes Anderson." Sounds impressive, until you consider that Surfer, Dude was pitched as "Point Break with elements of divine fate, a la Paul Thomas Anderson." [THR]
