Having loads of looks and charm doesn't necessarily guarantee success in the movie business. Massachusetts native Chris Evans was aware of this so he smartly interned for free at a New York City casting agency, which led to him finding an agent, before heading out west.

He still had to pay his dues once in L.A., however--first on the ill-fated Fox show "Opposite Sex" and then in the raunchy spoof Not Another Teen Movie. But, luckily, NATM earned the 21-year-old some industry cred, which led to a plum starring role opposite Erika Christensen and Scarlett Johansson in The Perfect Score, in which a band of high-schoolers try to steal answers to the SATs.
Q: Did you ever cheat in school?
A: Oh God yeah. You can literally put novels into calculators now.
Q: What was your first meeting with your Score costars like?
A: I met Erika first when I screen-tested opposite her. It was me and five other guys fighting for the part, and you don't want to act like you're trying to kiss up, so I didn't do anything and let everyone else screw themselves up.
Q: What keeps you passionate about acting?
A: It's such a fun process. It's not work. Anyone who says it's work is full of shit and they've been doing it for too long.
Q: Will you ever do another Teen Movie?
A: Even though I know it's not Scarface and I had to have a banana in my ass, I love those kinds of movies.
